  • AZ: Application for marriage to be possible in electronic form

    Those willing to marry will be able to apply to the departments of civil status acts registration in an e-form.

    According to sources in the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan, to this end it is necessary to visit the E-services page on the official website of the Ministry of Justice (www.justice.gov.az) and fill the due application.

  • AZ: ASAN Pay extends variety of services

    Azerbaijan’s Innovations Centre will soon present new services, which will be available at ASAN Ödəniş (ASAN Pay) multifunctional mobile application.

    A source in the center told Trend that the application will allow to pay fees, state duties, communal public services and others.

  • AZ: ASAN service centers receive 13 million appeals in 2016

    The number of appeals submitted to "ASAN Service", Azerbaijan’s leading e-Government institution acting on behalf and in cooperation with other state entities in public service provision, reached 13 million by late 2016, while the number of provided services hit 12,369 million.

    Inam Karimov, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, made the remark while addressing a Cabinet meeting on January 10.

  • AZ: ASAN Service, Korea Interior Ministry sign memorandum

    State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Korea have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation on providing e-government and state services.

    The memorandum of understanding was signed by Inam Karimov, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Hong Yun-sik, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Korea, APA reported.

  • AZ: Azerbaijan, Iran launch new infrastructure project with online technology

    Azerbaijan and Iran have launched a new transportation-related infrastructure project known as “e-TIR,” which envisages the full electronic transit operations at the Astara border crossing between the two Caspian region neighbors, Caspian News reported on Friday.

    “The advantages of this online project are competitive and mechanized exchange of goods, accelerated transportation, reduction of violations and the elimination of administrative bureaucracy,” head of Iran's Customs Administration Mehdi Mirashrafi said.

  • AZ: Azerbaijan, Korea discuss smart city project

    Azerbaijan and Korea discussed the current status of negotiations on projects in the fields of innovation and smart cities, which will be implemented by Azerbaijan's Digital Development and Transport Ministry in collaboration with the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

    The discussion took place during a meeting between Azerbaijani Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev and Korean ambassador Lee Eun Yong.

  • AZ: Baku opens Int’l ICT Conference

    The 7th International Conference on Application of Information and Communication Technologies kicked off in Azerbaijan`s capital on October 24.

    AICT2013 is co-organized by Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, Education Ministry , Qafqaz University, Baku State University, Lomonosov Moscow State University Baku branch, Institute of Information Technology, and Azerbaijan Technical University.

    Speaking at the event, rector of the Baku State University, Academician Abel Maharramov said 2013 was declared the Year of Information Communication Technologies in Azerbaijan.

  • AZ: Baku to host int’l conference on eGov 3.0

    Baku is planning to host an international conference “eGov 3.0: Development tendencies and new prospects on 3 December.

    The conference will be attended by Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Elmir Valizade, representatives of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, State Committee for Property Issues, State Customs Committee, State Agency for public services and social innovations at the President of Azerbaijan.

  • AZ: Baku, Helsinki eye cooperation dev’t in smart industry & smart city sectors

    Baku and Helsinki have discussed the development of cooperation with Finnish companies with experience in the smart industry and smart city sectors, Azernews reports.

    The discussion took place during a meeting between Azerbaijan’s Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Mammadov and a delegation led by Finnish Foreign Ministry Under-Secretary of State for external economic relations Nina Vaskunlahti.

  • AZ: Communication Ministry points out at population’s disinterest for reception of electr. signature

    Communication and Information Technologies Ministry of Azerbaijan considers lack of a large number of state electronic services establishments to be the reason for little demand for electronic-digital signature (EDS).

    Consultant of the Ministry’s Information Society Development Department Etibar Umudov has reported that demand for e-signature will rise after launch of e-government portal , when it becomes main tool for use of electronic services for authentication.

  • AZ: Cooperation with Japan in ICT field to contribute to development of sector

    A delegation headed by Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Abbasov was on an official visit to Japan at the invitation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country.

    The purpose of the visit was further expansion of relations between the two countries in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT).

  • AZ: Copyright Agency to provide new e-services

    The Copyright Agency is conducting work on e-services.

    The Ministry of Communications & IT reports that website www.copag.gov.az contains separate section E-Services, in which control panel responsible for the information base was created.

    The administrative regulation of e-services has been developed, the rules for registration of copyright, instructions, e-application forms prepared and conditions for free use of e-services created.

  • AZ: Curiosity – Government Launches E-Services for Azeri Residents

    Government portal ensures transparency in public administration

    All government agencies in Azerbaijan will soon offer electronic services to citizens and foreigners residing in the country, following a presidential decree signed on May 23, 2011.

    The online portal is scheduled to launch within three months since publishing the law. Once in operation, it will allow access to services, such as applications for property ownership certificates, getting a foreign diploma recognized or arranging address registration. The cabinet of ministers has yet to determine the full scope of services that each government agency may offer electronically.

  • AZ: Customs declaration gets digital

    Electronic signature will be used while approving customs declaration in Azerbaijan, the Information Technology Center reported on December 9.

    Technical details on the use of e-signatures in the process of certification of electronic declarations were discussed by authorized representatives of the ITC and the State Customs Committee.

  • AZ: Departmental ICT Year Action Plan endorsed

    Minister for Communications & IT Ali Abbasov has approved the Action Plan for the Year of ICT to be conducted in the country in 2013.

    The Ministry of Communications & IT informs that the minister has ordered the timely execution of the Plan. No other details are given, but it is indicated that the departmental plan is based on the requirements of the "Action Plan in connection with announcement of 2013 the Year of Information & Communication Technologies in the Azerbaijan Republic", endorsed by the country’s president in March.

  • AZ: Deputy minister: E-services - requirement for economic development

    The Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry renders interactive e-services in seven directions and informative e-services in nine directions. Deputy Economic Development Minister Niyazi Safarov made this statement during a speech at an event on e-services in the ministry's activity.

    "The ministry carries out systematic measures for introducing and expanding e-services, and is preparing the appropriate electronic support and the necessary legislative framework. Today, duties are paid in the online mode, and documents confirming these payments are also carried out in e-form," Safarov said.

  • AZ: Distance School Centre opens

    The Distance School Centre at the school-lyceum No20 has been opened.

    Internet portal of the school www.mesafedenmekteb.edu.az has been also presented at the opening ceremony, the ICT Information Centre told Gun.Az.

    The event was attended by Education Minister Misir Mardanov, as well as different representatives of the education sphere.

  • AZ: E-gov portal makes online payments available

    The Electronic government portal in Azerbaijan now features a function for convenient online payment.

    The Automated Payment Utility Service of the state payment portal is integrated into the e-government portal, says the Computer Information Center under the Communications and High Technologies Ministry.

    The objectives of the project are to increase the use of non-cash payments, simplifying the process of budget payments, and the integration of e-government projects with the infrastructure of the national payment system.

  • AZ: E-government offers more property-related services

    Two more e-services of the State Committee for Property Affairs of Azerbaijan were integrated into the "e-Government" portal (E-Gov), the Information Technology Centre (ITC) of the Communications and High Technologies Ministry reported.

    The report notes that the following services are available:

    • Underwriting services of documents and requests in connection with the registration of a notifications of holding real property that is the subject of the mortgage;

    • Underwriting services of documents and requests in connection with the liquidation of the notifications of holding real property that is the subject of the mortgage
