Die umstrittene Videoüberwachung öffentlicher Plätze in Brandenburg hat sich einem Bericht des Innenministeriums zufolge bewährt. Zu diesem Ergebnis seien Experten nach der fünfjährigen Erprobung der Videoüberwachung an vier Standorten gekommen, heißt es in dem Bericht, den das Kabinett am Dienstag beschlossen hat. An allen Standorten sei die Diebstahlskriminalität gesunken. Nun soll die Videoüberwachung dauerhaft im Polizeigesetz verankert werden.
