County officials, who attended the Accela 2005 User Conference in San Diego to accept their award, said the initiative is part of a broader effort to implement so-called "e-government" programs.
"By streamlining the inspection process and giving field inspectors convenient access to enterprise data, agencies are able to respond more quickly to requests and provide a higher level of service to their citizens," said Accela CEO Robert P. Lee in a statement.
