Clarke County Public Schools Introduces BoardDocs In an effort to better communicate with staff, parents, and community members, foster transparency, and have a positive impact on the environment, the Clarke County Public Schools is implementing a paperless electronic governance system for its regular School Board meetings.

The new system, “BoardDocs”, replaces the old method of compiling, printing, and distributing meeting documents to a limited audience.

Using the “BoardDocs” web site, the public can view and print agendas and supporting documents associated with each School Board meeting three days prior to the meeting. The system not only saves time and resources, it also provides the public with greater access to information that Board members use to make decisions about the Clarke County Public Schools.

Renee Weir, Deputy Clerk, commented at a recent training session that “BoardDocs will improve Board effectiveness, increase transparency, save taxpayers money, and reduce staff time.” All documents associated with meetings are automatically archived and can be searched by meeting date or by using the comprehensive search feature found within the product.

Superintendent of Schools Michael F. Murphy shared that “BoardDocs will dramatically connect the process of governance to the people, reduce the growing costs of printing and delivery, and save hours of diminishing staff time by leveraging the power of the Internet to electronically publish and distribute information of importance to our community.”

Regular School Board meeting information will typically be released at 12:01 a.m. three calendar days prior to the scheduled meeting. Information regarding the May 4, 2011 meeting at Clarke County High School will be released Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 12:01 a.m.

The BoardDocs link can be found on the Division’s website under or by using the link below.
