The Colorado Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) has awarded more than $103,000 in micro-grant funding to 25 local governments across the State of Colorado. Each year, SIPA provides grant opportunities to help Colorado governments implement new technologies and digital government services. A major portion of the grant funding is made possible by the self-funded contract with Colorado Interactive.

SIPA received more than 120 applications from state agencies, counties, municipalities, universities, public schools, and special districts this year. The micro-grant funds are available for equipment, systems, services, project planning and implementation and human resources that fall within the grant scope.

"SIPA is proud to be able to give back to the Colorado governments that make up our customers. These grants represent SIPA's commitment to our partners and to the State of Colorado," said Jack Arrowsmith, SIPA Executive Director.

The grant ceremony was held at the Ralph L. Carr Judicial Center in Denver following SIPA’s 6th Annual User Conference on March 29, 2016.
