In a move to bring transparency and convenience to the vehicle owners of Punjab, the State Government has ensured that general public can check the particulars related to their vehicles online.
By clicking on the link “Registration Data Verification’’ in the websitepunjabtransport.org, all details regarding registered vehicles in Punjab can be found.
A spokesman of the Transport Department said that if there is any discrepancy in the particulars of a vehicle, then the owner can get it rectified by submitting an application with the concerned District Transport Officer.
The spokesman said that the department has already been uploaded information with regard to all the registered vehicles on the website punjabtransport.org.
The Punjab Government has implemented e-governance system in the Transport Department so as to provide transport related services in electronic mode to the people. Under this system, the work related to the registration of the vehicles has been fully computerised.
