The two weeks long training programme on e-Governance project management concluded at Naharlagun on Friday.

The training for mid-level officers was attended by 28 officers from various department of the state government. The training had started on Aug 22 and was conducted by National Institute of Smart Governance (NISG), Hyderabad. The training aims to equip participants with the necessary background and understanding on structured approach for conceptualization of e-Governance initiatives, various phase of e-Governance life cycle, key consideration during each phase of development, examples of how e-Government and e-business services can be undertaken by Government organization to strategically plan and transform their organization to improve the citizen service.

Broad modules covered during the training include Project Management, Government Process Reengineer, Procurement, Financial aspects of e-Governance Project and Soft skills (Presentation & documentation skills). This course has been designed to provide rich insights on all key activities associated with Conceptualizing and Procurement of e-Governance projects.

The participants were also trained in an internationally renowned project management methodology known as PRINCE2® (Project in Controlled environment) which will enable the participants to appear for International Professional Certification in PRINCE2®. All participants took keen interest in learning and successfully attended the foundation exam for PRINCE2® certification.
