Bhopal has been selected for establishment of National Data Centre by the Government of India. This information was given at the presentation of National Informatics Centre (NIC) in the presence of Chief Secretary B P Singh.

State chief of NIC R R Rane informed that the facilities are being expanded continuously under the e-governance. Public related 132 services are being provided through 412 Lok Seva Kendras under the MP e-district.

Similarly, 30 services are being provided to the people on MP Online through 23,000 kiosks in the State. At the presentation of innovations undertaken in IT sector in the State, information to make all the Vidhan Sabha questions process online, virtual classrooms in education field, e-hospital software developed to develop hospital management, samagra data base, shram seva portal, GIS based software besides works carried out in agriculture and cooperative sectors were given.

Moreover, information to provide income and domicile certificate to the citizens at home were given during the presentation. Till date, 20 persons have received these certificates by this facility through E-KYC using Aadhaar number.
