Eight projects of the government of Arunachal Pradesh received the SKOCH awards of merit at the two-day 49th SKOCH summit which concluded in New Delhi on Saturday.

The following eight projects received the SKOCH Award-of-merit while competing with projects from across India.

  2. Employment Bank Portal for Dept of Labour & Employment
  3. CM’s Help Line- 155250
  4. Centralised Information Management System for Employees and Pensioners, Dept of Audit and Pension
  5. eOffice at Civil Secretariat
  6. Civil Secretariat WiFi LAN
  7. Arunachal m-Seva
  8. eCabinet Arunachal Pradesh

Employment Bank Portal has bagged the most esteemed Silver SKOCH Award under eGovernance category. Nirmal Bansal, Senior Fellow, SKOCH Development Foundation gave away the award to the team of Dept of IT & Communication, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh headed by Neelam Yapin Tana, Director, IT & Communication and accompanied by Yater Pari, Assistant Director and Techi Tado, Technical Assistant, Dept of IT & Communication in presence of Deputy Speaker, Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha, Joint Secretary (ED), Economic Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India, Minister for Fisheries, Harbour Engineering, Cashew Industries, Govt of Kerala, Sameer Kochhar, Chairman, SKOCH Group, Dr. Gursharan Dhanjal, Editor & CEO, SKOCH Group.

Government of Arunachal Pradesh has made a mark in the 49th SKOCH Summit 2017 by finding a second place for receiving maximum number of SKOCH Award-of-merit Awards next to the State of Rajasthan. The achievement will prove to be a great source of encouragement to move towards digital Arunachal.

In this occasion Prince Dhawan, IAS, Special Secretary, IT & Communication has congratulated the team and said, “The achievement of the team is very encouraging for receiving such awards at national platform. The State is marching forward with many IT initiatives.”

Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu also congratulated the Dept of IT & Communication for the grand achievement and also exhorted all the citizens to avail government IT initiatives and services from their homes.

“I would like to congratulate our citizens for their relentless support on the IT oriented policy in our government in all the IT initiatives in the State.”

It may also be noted that during the Civil Service Day 2017, the Dept of IT & Communication was declared the best Dept for Team work effort in the State. And,during the Indian Express Award 2017, eILP project of Dept of IT & Communication was conferred award for outstanding technology project for connecting the unconnected.
