The 21st national conference on e-Governance, on the theme of ‘Technology for Accelerating Development’, will be held at HICC here on February 26 and 27.
Three plenary sessions on the first day would be based on sub-themes – Building User Experience, Universalisation and Replication, and Governing e-Governance. On the second day, the plenary sessions would centre on e-Governance Good/Best Practices and Emerging Technologies. For the wrap-up session, ‘Synergising Role of National and State Governments’ is the theme.
Sharing details on Saturday, Additional Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, Vasudha Mishra and Principal Secretary (Administrative Reforms) in the State Government Shalini Mishra stated that the two departments along with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, are organising the conference.
The conference serves as a forum in which Secretaries of Administrative Reforms and Information Technology of the State Governments, IT Managers of the Central Government, and software solution providers would exchange opinions, discuss issues and analyse various solution frameworks, they said.
Minister for IT, Municipal Administration and Industries K.T. Rama Rao would be the chief guest at the inaugural session. Union Minister of State for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Y.S. Chowdary would preside over the proceedings.
Minister of State in the PMO Jitendra Singh would give away the awards. Other important speakers include DARPG Secretary K.V. Eapen, Chief Executive Officer of UIDAI Ajay Bhushan Pandey and Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology Ajay Prakash Sawhney.
