Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, on Saturday said about 82 per cent of the development works announced till 2017 have been completed and work on the remaining 18 per cent announcements is in progress and would be completed soon.

He also inaugurated and dedicated five projects costing Rs 27.70 crore to the people of Sirsa district. Besides, he laid foundation stone of eight development projects on which over Rs 57.69 crore would be spent.

Talking to reporters after inaugurating the projects in Sirsa, he said soon after the present government took over the reins in 2014, a model of equitable development throughout the state was prepared, and development works were being carried out accordingly in every region.

He said workers constitute the backbone of the party and during ‘Chai pe Charcha’ discussions related to development of regions, elections and organisation are held with them.

Manohar Lal said in the last three-and-a-half years, development and welfare works was done according to the expectations of the people. Now, under various programmes, communication would be directly held with the people to get information regarding the works.

“We have done qualitative development works in a systematic manner so that they remain useful to people for a longer period,” he said. Citizen-centric services have been made online through e-Governance and for its implementation, Atal Seva Kendras, Gram Sachivalayas, e-Disha Kendras and Antyodaya Seva Kendras have been set up. Setting up of these centres has benefitted the general public as they now need not go to government offices again and again.

Manohar Lal said for resolution of problems, people could also reach CM Window. So far four lakh complaints have been received through this medium. These have come due to the wrong policies and disorganized work system of previous governments.

The Chief Minister inaugurated five projects in Sirsa, which includes new vegetable market at Dabwali, tehsil building at Rania, augmentation of the sewerage system and sewage treatment plant at Rania and Kalanwali and independent canal-based waterworks at Phullo. In addition to this, canal-based waterworks would be constructed in the villages of Sikanderpur, Mallekan, Jhorarnali, Bahiya and Haripura and Bani, he said.

Earlier, he redressed the grievances of people at PWD Rest House and issued directions to the officers concerned to immediately resolve their grievances.
