The West Bengal Government is setting up a web portal which would provide anyone visiting it a clear and detailed picture of the developmental activities taking place in the state, from the lowest to the highest levels.
A special software has been created for it.
As of now it is being called Development Dashboard; a new name would be given to it when Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurates it.
The Home Department’s Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department and e-Governance are jointly developing the website, which would be ready within a few months.
When she came to power in 2011, Ms Banerjee had promised to transform Bengal, bring about a massive ‘poriborton’ or change. She and her Trinamool Congress Government have delivered on multiple counts.
Be it civic and industrial infrastructure (the latter at all levels, from small industries to big ones), the power situation, agriculture, fisheries, environment conservation, tourism, earning livelihood through engaging in traditional arts and crafts, upholding the cultural treasure of the state across the world, or many others, the change is there for all to see.
New projects and developments are being executed continuously across the length and breadth of Bangla.
All these developments would now be available for all to see and judge on this new website.
