Union Minister Kishan Reddy said that the state government has not released a single penny under smart city project to Warangal. "The state government should grant Rs 83 crore for Warangal smart city project and not even a single penny has been sanctioned," he said.
Kishan Reddy said that they have chalked out a plan for the development works worth Rs 575 crore in the first phase. "Proposals for the development of the project were put up for about Rs 2,740 crore under the smart city," the minister told the media while he was on a visit to Warangal.
Reddy said that central government has allocated Rs 31 crore for renovation of Bhadrakali temple, Rs 1.03 crore for construction of Jain mandir besides granting funds to the development of the thousand-pillared temple and restoring drainage works at MGM hospital. "The state government also need to allocate funds for Warangal development," the minister said adding that he would discuss it with the local officials and also to write a letter to the state Chief Minister.
Earlier, Kishan Reddy said that the BJP would focus on victory for Warangal Municipal Corporation and also the people are dissatisfied with the TRS government.
