The focus at Ranchi Smart City will be on urban public transport. Moreover, there will be no overhead wire in the city. Water harvesting facility will be compulsory in all buildings for water conservation. Along with this, treatment of drain water coming out of the house has been arranged.

These special features of the project was revealed at the Investors’ Meet of Ranchi Smart City Corporation Ltd (RSCCL) held at XLRI on Friday. The meeting was called to make Ranchi a smart city.

For Ranchi Smart City project, a total 96 investors participated in an investors’ meet. Organised by Ranchi Smart City Corporation Ltd (RSCCL), the investors’ meet saw participation of city-based builders, hoteliers, architects and industrialists who will explore the business opportunity as the project of Ranchi Smart City makes progress.

The chief executive officer, RSCCL, Amit Kumar interacted with the participants on how to participate in the mega project in the state capital.

East Singhbhum deputy commissioner, Suraj Kumar, SDO, Jamshedpur, Nitish Kumar, additional DC, Nand Kishore Lal, Special officer, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, Krishna Kumar also participated.

”We need to make Ranchi Smart City a pride for the state. It serves a great opportunity for the builders, businessmen, hoteliers and the ones associated with the infrastructure. The RSCCL will ensure progress,” said Amit Kumar while addressing the meet on Friday morning.

While inviting the builders and traders into investing in the smart city project, the RSCCL CEO said that the investors should not keep any kind of doubt to participate in the project.

“This is a good opportunity for all sectors of the businessmen, especially the builders to earn handsome profit by investing in the Ranchi Smart City Project. If you have any bitterness with the government project due to past experience, just forget about it all,” said Kumar.

The state government has acquired 656 acres of land for area-based development work under the smart city project there at Ranchi.

Special officer, JNAC, Krishna Kumar said that the main purpose behind the meet was to explore investors from the steel city for promotion of the Ranchi Smart City project.

Ranchi is one of the 100 smart cities under the Smart City Mission of the Government of India. For development of modern state-of-the-art amenities, Smart City of Ranchi will also offer opportunities to investors in the areas of real estate, health, education, housing and hospitality among others. It will be designed so as to provide all basic amenities like good quality water and electricity supply, solid waste management system, and drainage systems.
