Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry has organised a workshop on information security for its staff.
Held in coordination with the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA), the workshop is within the Ministry’s programmes to raise awareness on information security, promote the cyber-security culture and develop its staff’s capabilities to deal with security risks when using government or personal computers.
Information security specialist at the iGA, Yussef Al-Malood, who lectured during the workshop, highlighted the most important types of cyber security risks and solutions used to address them.
He also shed light on laws and violations associated with information security, as well as the regulations in place to ensure the safe use of information and communication programmes and networks.
