Customers may now submit any of the listed requests to the notary public online and pay due fees as well with no need to appear in person at the counter.

Enforcement officer and judge can communicate electronically

One can apply for notary public services and make payments for the same now online at the Ras Al Khaimah Courts.

Ahmed Saeed Al Saiyah, Director-General of the e-Government Authority in the emirate, said the move, launched in association with the RAK Courts, is aimed to ensure customer satisfaction and ease, and expedite procedures.

“We want to make the notary services more accessible from anywhere and at anytime, and indeed save money, time and effort, and make long waiting queues history,” he said.

The notary services may be accessed online via the RAK e-government gate. “Customers may now submit any of the listed requests to the notary public online and pay due fees as well with no need to appear in person at the counter.”

Al Saiyah said the team operating the new notary online services is using the latest information technologies to make the services requested safe, easy and quickly attainable.

Consultant Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatiri, Chairman of the RAK Courts, said the notary public e-services project has been accomplished in a record time.

“The pioneering scheme is part of the RAK Courts’ strategic plan 2014-2016 spanning 30 strategic projects and initiatives, most of which are based on converting services into electronic and smart ones.”

“The RAK Courts had earlier made the enforcement of all types of seizures and impoundments online, the first of its kind service in the country.” Al Khatiri said communication between the enforcement officer and the judge is done electronically in urgent cases. “The RAK Courts has come first in the eighth edition of the government quality awards for the year 2013 due to its tireless effort to improve the services being provided to the public.”
