The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on March 15 launched its public services portal at https://dvc.mard.gov.vn with a view to providing the people and businesses with almost public services of the level 3 and 4 between now and the year-end.

The level 3 services allow applicants to fill in and submit the forms online while the level 4 ones enable them to not only submit required forms but also make payments and receive results online.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Ha Cong Tuan said the move complies with the Prime Minister’s Decision 08 and the Government’s Resolution 36a/NQ-CP on e-government.

He asked the ministry’s units to complete the review and standardise administrative procedures in the first quarter this year, requiring the Plant Protection Department and the Department of Livestock Production to take the lead in the effort.

Nguyen Xuan Duong, deputy head of the Department of Livestock Production, said since 2016, the department has received and handled nearly 40,000 documents via online public services and customs one-stop shop at the level 4, helping firms save nearly 70 billion VND and half of time.

This year, the ministry will speed up online administrative procedures nationwide regarding animal and plant quarantine, vet hygiene inspection, agricultural materials management and food safety.
