Consortium of health plans hire IGI to roll out Web-based system for provider filingsA consortium of health plans in Minnesota is rolling out a Web-based system that will let providers submit insurance claims electronically to comply with a July 15 legislative deadline. The Minnesota Council of Health Plans tapped Infotech Global Inc. (IGI) to power the system, called MN E-Connect, which serves as a Web portal that lets providers file medical, hospital and dental claims.

Now, visitors to the Kansas Business Center Web site can request FREE help from a trained coordinator, including resource referrals and business counseling.The Kansas Business Center is the official state resource for information, regulatory filings, and personal assistance needed to start or maintain a Kansas-based business. The state of Kansas launched a redesign of the Web site in January of this year. The site welcomes approximately 35,000 page views per month.

Seit Anfang Juni 2009 sind umfangreiche Informationen mit den erforderlichen, interaktiven Formularen zum Bewilligungsverfahren online auf den kommunalen Websites erhältlich. Nicht nur für die Antragsstellenden steigt der Komfort, auch die Verwaltung profitiert von einer besseren Datenqualität. Das E-Government Projekt wurde unter der Federführung des SECO realisiert und steht weiteren interessierten Gemeinden im Kanton offen.
Schweiz: Beschwerdeflut nach E-Pass-Abstimmung
Die von den Schweizern in einer Volksabstimmung mit hauchdünner Mehrheit gebilligte Einführung biometrischer Pässe hat zu einer Beschwerdeflut geführt.Nach den Kantonen Schwyz und Waadt haben nun auch St. Gallen und Solothurn Beschwerden gegen das Abstimmungsergebnis für die neuen biometrischen Pässe abgewiesen. 50,1 Prozent der Stimmberechtigten hatten am 17. Mai der Einführung des biometrischen Passes zugestimmt. Der Unterschied zwischen Ja- und Nein-Stimmen betrug lediglich 5.504 Stimmen.
