Entgegen der Ankündigungen aus der Politik, Vorreiter sein zu wollen, fällt Deutschland laut einer Studie der Strategie- und Technologieberatung Booz Allen Hamilton ins Mittelmaß zurück. Mehr als zwei Drittel (71%) der Bundesbürger kennen die Online-Angebote der Behörden überhaupt nicht oder haben lediglich davon gehört. Dies ist das alarmierende Ergebnis der Studie, die Booz Allen Hamilton in Zusammenarbeit mit der Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung (GfK) durchgeführt hat.
Nigeria: Lagos Migrates Vehicle Registration To Freedom Card Platform
Lagos State government has commenced the migration of its automatic vehicle registration management, known as AutoReg to Freedom Card payment platform, which is managed by 3Line Card Management Limited.The migration followed the strategic partnership between 3Line Card Management and Courteville Investment Limited, owners of the AutoReg trademark. The scheme which was hitherto operated on scratch card platform, has now been moved to a more robust smart card platform capable of carrying out other financial transactions immediately and in the nearest future.
India: E-stamps to become a reality
In a bid to avoid the repeat of stamp paper scam, the state government is planning to introduce an 'e-stamping' system for registration of property documents at the sub-register offices across the state.In a statement issued to press on Saturday, the state inspector general of registration and controller of stamps, Ramrao Shingare, announced that a pilot project for introducing e-stamping will be initiated in the city in the next 15 days, and it will be rolled out in a phased manner in rest of Maharashtra.
Philippines: CICT opens up new online highway for gov’t services
Filipinos who can no longer put up with bureaucratic red tape now has an option to log on to the Internet to transact with the government with the recent launch of the e-Services Portal or eSerbisyo.Financed by the e-Government Fund, the P136 millon IT project was an initiative of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) and the National Computer Center (NCC).
