  • Österreich: Multimedia-Staatspreis 2004 für barrierefreie Formulare

    forms2web erhält gemeinsam mit dem Bundesminsterium für Finanzen den Multimedia-Staatspreis in der Kategorie "Government to Citizen".

    Am 23. September wurde der Multimedia und E-Business Staatspreis 2004 verliehen. forms2web durfte den E-Government-Sonderpreis in der Kategorie "Government to Citizen" entgegen nehmen. Mit dieser Prämierung wurden die gemeinsamen Bemühungen von Finanzministerium und forms2web, amtliche Formulare auch Menschen mit Behinderung zugänglich zu machen, ausgezeichnet.

  • Österreich: Staatspreis 2004 E-Government für Katastrophenschutz Online

    Europaweit einzigartige Plattformlösung für Krisen-Szenarien

    Im Rahmen des Österreichischen Staatspreises 2004 hat die Fachabteilung Katastrophenschutz und Landesverteidigung (FA7B) der Steiermärkischen Landesregierung am gestrigen Donnerstag zwei Staatspreise für E-Government gewonnen. Das zusammen mit dem Grazer Unternehmen icomedias GmbH konzipierte und realisierte Internetportal "Katastrophenschutz Online" konnte die Jury nicht nur in der Kategorie "Government to Government", sondern auch in der Gesamtkategorie "E-Government" überzeugen.

    Steirischer Katastrophenschutz vertritt Österreich in der Kategorie E-Government

    Das österreichische Bundeskanzleramt hat "Katastrophenschutz Online" ausgewählt, um Österreich bei der Weltjury für das weltweit beste E-Government-Produkt zu vertreten. Das Katastrophenschutz-Portal der Steiermärkischen Landesregierung ist eine in Europa bisher einzigartige Plattform für Krisen-Szenarien und Krisen-Kommunikation.

  • PH: Cebu City Hall bag Jesse Robredo Award

    The Cebu City Government received two awards in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) this year.

    In the second year of its eGov Awards for local government units, also called as the Jesse Robredo Award for Excellence in Information Technology (IT) for Good Governance, the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP) recognized Cebu City’s IT-related programs.

    Cebu City got the top spot in the Best in eGov Business Empowerment (G2B) search for its “Cebu Traffic” project.

  • PH: Quezon City receives 2013 Robredo Awards for Excellence in ICT

    The Quezon City (QC) government won third place for Government to Business Category (G2B) in the 2nd eGovernance Awards, dubbed as the 2013 Jessie Robredo Awards for Excellence in ICT for Good Governance.

    The eGovernance award is conferred by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the National ICT Confederation of the Philippine (NICP) on local government units for good governance, especially in using information and communication technology (ICT) in its day to day business.

  • Philippine’s E-Nutrition mission wins int’l best practice tilt

    The Philippine’s e-Nutrition project bagged the grand prize in the recently held Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Digital Opportunity Center (ADOC) Awards under the ICT Best Practices for e-Government category.

    This is the second time the Philippines won the ADOC Awards in the same category. The Bureau of Internal Revenue won the same award in 2005 for its e-Filing and e-Payment System.

  • Philippines: DOST website is Webby awards finalist

    The One Stop Information Shop of Technologies or OSIST, an online public information system of the Philippine Council for Industry and Energy Research and Development (PCIERD) clicked its way to the list of e-government category finalists in the 11th Philippine Web Awards (PWA), the local version of the prestigious international Webby Awards.

    PWA is a recognition body for the best Philippine websites. Finalists and winners draw approval among their peers, which often becomes web developers' leverage for better information technology career opportunities.

  • Philippines: DOST’s Osist vying for World Summit award

    The Department of Science and Technology’s Internet portal called One Stop Information Shop of Technologies (Osist) was chosen over five others as national finalist for the World Summit Awards (WSA) e-Science and Technology category in an online content-related contest.

    The team behind Osist earned tickets to Monterey, Mexico, on June 12 as among the 40 winning teams in eight categories to be honored in the WSA gala night. The teams will receive certificates and trophies from government and industry leaders, and the United Nations.

  • Police Bag Top e-Oman Awards

    Oman’s police stole the limelight on Saturday night in the first ‘e-Oman Award’ that aims at recognising distinguished performance in the delivery of electronic services by government agencies, winning two first prizes and one second.

    The Royal Oman Police (ROP) website won the top position in the ‘e-content’ and ‘e-project’ categories and was runner-up in ‘e-service’.

    The Muscat Securities Market took one first and one second prize.

  • QA: ‘Hukoomi’ wins informatics award

    The Qatar Official e-Government Portal (Hukoomi) has won the 2017 His Highness Sheikh Salem Al Ali Al Sabah Informatics Award, among other winners, in the “Government Sector” category.

    Nine tech projects from Gulf countries have won Awards in their 17th edition and they will be honored at the annual ceremony in Kuwait this November 29.

  • QA: ICT Ministry Website Wins Pan-Arab Excellence Awards Gold Shield for Interactive Innovation

    Unique for Better User Experience, Device Compatibility

    The official website of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (www.ictqatar.qa) has won the Gold Shield and Certificate of Excellence for Interactive Innovation on the category of government bodies' and official institutions' websites.

    This came at the 5th Round of the E-government Excellence Awards, member of the Pan-Arab Excellence Awards Academy. The award is offered by the Dubai-based Arab Organization for Social Responsibility and the Academy of Online Awards in the Arab region.

  • QA: Interior ministry’s Facebook page wins top award

    Qatar’s Ministry of Interior’s Facebook page has won the ‘Best Interactive Platform Award 2012’ in the ministries’ websites category in the 3rd Arab E-Government Web Awards’ organised by the Arab Administrative Development Organisation (ARADO) and Pan Arab Awards Academy.

    Director of Public Relations Department Col. Abdullah Khalifa al-Muftah received the memento and the appreciation certificate at the awards ceremony held at Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt on Thursday.

  • Qatar: Kahramaa and Islamweb win Arab e-Gov award

    Two Qatari websites have won top GCC e-Gov awards. The official websites of Qatar General Electricity and water Corporation (Kahramaa) and “Islamweb” won first places in two separate categories.

    Kahramaa’s website got the first prize in the e-Service category for its e-billing service while Islamweb grabbed the first place in e-Content category.

  • Qatar’s e-govt services win UN recognition

    Qatar’s development of e-government services has been recognised in the United Nations (UN) e-Government Survey, which saw the country rise to number 27 in the online service index rankings, a significant improvement from its previous ranking of 90 in 2010. The survey also placed Qatar at number nine in the e-Participation index for 2012.

    The online service index measures development of online service delivery to citizens and businesses through the Internet and other digital means, while the e-Participation index is indicative on how governments create an environment in which citizens can be more active and supportive of their governments.

  • Registration for His Majesty's Award for Excellence in e-Govt begins in Oman

    Registration for the 5th edition of Sultan Qaboos Award for Excellence in e-Government Services will start on Monday.

    The award is organised and supervised by the Information Technology Authority (ITA) and targeting government and private institutions, including small and medium enterprises to encourage them to develop electronic services and honouring the outstanding projects in the provision of electronic services.

  • Republic of Korea receiving Major United Nations Special Awards for Good Governance

    On 25 June 2012 in the United Nations Headquarters, Republic of Korea will receive 3 special awards for three first positions in 3 clusters from 4 categories of the UN e-Government Survey. The country has set high standards for e-government development, in line with the categories described by the UN e-Government Survey.

    The UN e-Government Survey, which publishes every two years, serves as a tool for decision-makers to identify their areas of strength and challenges. This year’s winners embody the vision and commitment necessary to transform public administration to ensure efficacy, transparency, responsiveness, participation and inclusion in the delivery of public services.

  • SA: Jawazat earns e-Government Achievement Award

    The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) won the e-Government Achievement Award (Injaz) in the category of collaboration with government agencies to deliver better services.

    More than 184 projects were in the competion for the award.

    The category is designed for government agencies that make optimal use of information and communications technology to effectively deliver e-services to other agencies.

  • SA: Ministry earns e-service excellence award

    The Ministry of Labor and Social Development won e-Government Achievement Award (Enjaz) in the category of cooperation among government entities for offering better services, which is given by e-Government Program (Yesser).

    The 4th edition of the Enjaz Award took place at the Headquarters of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) in Riyadh.

  • SA: Noor the education management information system wins the E-Government Achievement Award

    An achievement to be proud of, Jordanian Integrated Technology Group (ITG) celebrates with the Saudi Ministry of Education, for the ministry's success in winning the Saudi E-Government Achievement Award "Serving People Better" (G2C) for its "Noor" project.

    The project provides a comprehensive Educational Management Information System, and is implemented by ITG through its EduWave Platform.

    The winners were announced during the awards ceremony which was held in Riyadh on Monday 15th of April 2013, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

  • SA: Yesser launches e-Government achievement award

    The e-Government Program 'Yesser' launched the Saudi e-Government achievement award (Enjaz), as a mechanism to encourage, inspire and value government agencies' efforts for advancing eGovernment services.

    The award is designed to value efforts made by government agencies to support the keen interest of the kingdom's wise leadership in providing better and more customer friendly services to individuals and businesses.
