The Marketing and Corporate Communication Department, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has recently received a delegation from the Dubai Police, and briefed them on the mechanisms if e-marketing, and the coordination of campaigns as well as the best global standards applicable in this field.

The meeting was held in RTA's Head Office in the presence of Yousef Al Rida, CEO of RTA's Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, and Dr. Aysha Al Busmait, RTA Media Advisor.

Dubai Police was represented by Captain Saeed Bin Markhan, Acting Manager of Quality Assurance Office; Lieutenant Eisa Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Head of Planning and Community Communication Section; Fadi Nabil, Head of Promotion and Publicity Section, and scores of section heads in the Dep't.

During the meeting a visual presentation was made on the Sales Section highlighting its core roles, products and the services it offers to RTA customers and the future plans set to enhance the capabilities of the Section.

The presentation also touched on the tasks undertaken by the Public Relations & Events Section including protocols, reception of VIPs and how to foster excellent relations with various stakeholders to showcase RTA's achievements, and coordinate external participations.

The visiting delegation also attended to a briefing about the Advertisement & Promotion Section along with the cutting-edge media adopted in social networking such as Facebook and Twitter, and techniques applied in e-marketing campaigns to promote RTA products and services. The Publishing Section also reviewed its role in publishing news, mechanism of dealing with local and foreign newspapers, and coordination with the radio and television channels as regards RTA's activities.

"The RTA is keen on cooperating with all parties to exchange experiences and enhance the cooperative links to ensure the implementation of the best global standards as envisioned in RTA's strategic plans for achieving business excellence and efficiency," said Yousef Al Rida.

He underlined the importance of these visits in enriching the knowledge of all parties, uplifting the business process, and implementing ambitious plans to serve the community so that Dubai remains a flagship & a pioneer of excellence in all walks of life.

"The RTA is fully aware of the changing public trends and the diverse needs of the community segments; which has prompted the RTA to increase its array of electronic services offering to 206 e-services in order to meet these needs, given that e-marketing plays an active role in introducing these services," said Dr. Aysha Al Busmait.

"Exchanging visits with government entities would enrich the caliber of shared experiences, which ultimately serves the interests of the Emirate of Dubai and its strategic objective of achieving an e-government environment with fully fledged services," she said, adding that that sharing expertise with public institutions would significantly & positively contribute to achieving this civilized objective.

Meanwhile, the Dubai Police delegation hailed the visit to RTA, and commended the e-marketing applications and efforts made by the Department in general. The delegation stated that it had benefited from RTA's experience in dealing with companies and government agencies in promoting its services and classifying its websites in a way that serves customers and ensure the smooth flow and accessibility of services on offer.
