  • Asan İmza integrates with Azerbaijani Government Payment Portal

    “Asan İmza” mobile e-signature service has been integrated with the Government Payment Portal, "B.EST Solutions" company (the operator of “Asan İmza” mobile e-signature service) said.

    Thus, the users of the portal will now be able to enter the portal using Asan İmza and carry out payments on more than 220 services rendered by government organizations and, in general, over 330 services provided by 21 institutions represented on the portal. Such payments include paying of taxes, other state dues, mortgage fees, public utilities and communication services and others.

  • ASAN-Xidmet becomes registry operator of state bodies’ e-services in Azerbaijan

    According to the decision of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers, the State Agency for Services to Citizens and Social Innovations (ASAN-Xidmet) under the Azerbaijani President has been entrusted with the functions of the registry operator of electronic services rendered by the central executive power bodies.

    The changes were made in the "Rules of rendering e-services on specific areas by the central executive power bodies" and "List of e-services," which were approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on November 24, 2011.

    The decree on the establishment of the State Agency for Services to Citizens and Social Innovations was signed by the president in July.

  • ATIB members consider one-stop shop principle in customs registration as effective in Azerbaijan

    Rashad Rasulu, general secretary of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association (ATIB), along with the reps of the Ministry of Economic Development and the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan have participated in the Asian Development Bank’s seminar on the theme “Development of electronic single one stop shop system in foreign economic activity” in Singapore within the framework of CAREC Programme.

    ATIB reports that at the seminar it was conducted presentation of relevant systems applied in Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, China, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

  • Average stay in Azerbaijan’s e-government portal grown up to nearly 5 minutes

    The Information & Computing Centre of the Ministry of Communications & IT of Azerbaijan has reported the growing popularity of e-government portal (www.e-gov.az).

    According to the center, in May 2013 the average time of portal visiting was 4 minutes 56 seconds against 4 minutes and 14 seconds in the period of December 2011 - May 2013. At that, repeated hits to the portal services have also grown: 42% of all visits in May, compared to 36.3% for the period of the portal operation.

    The Azerbaijan technology of mobile identity and electronic signature "Asan İmza" has been nominated for the prestigious Global mobileGov Awards, held within the mobileGov World Summit 2017, devoted to the best practices of countries in the mobile public services implementation. The main goal of Global mobileGov Awards is to mark a valuable contribution to the development of new and innovative mobile services or solutions for the public sector.

    The mobileGov World Summit to take place on 7- 9 May 2017 in Brighton, UK, traditionally gathers professionals of mobile industry, Public sector representatives, Scientific Production Associations and academic community for discussion and exchange of recent achievements and challenges. Senior representatives of the public sector from the countries where such services are most effectively implemented will share their experiences and lessons learnt in the use of mobile technologies in the public sector. Based on the conference results, the jury of the Global mobileGov Awards will evaluate the competition projects in terms of their innovation, efficiency and other parameters. It should be noted that this is a valuable opportunity for the recognition of "Asan İmza" at the world level, which will allow to acquaint the government, business representatives and citizens of the countries participating in the conference with the unique Azerbaijani technology. Especially considering the fact that "Asan İmza" was nominated in the same rank with the solutions in this field, implemented by recognized leaders of the innovative industry, such as Singapore, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, India, Turkey and Russia.

  • AZ: Agriculture Ministry to present mobile software for farmers

    Azerbaijan's Agriculture Ministry is developing a mobile application for agricultural producers, said head of the office at the Ministry Ilham Bayramov.

    He noted that it will be a so-called technological map for growing plants.

    'The application's functionality will allow landowners to independently calculate and evaluate the sowing activities. For example, how to plow the land, what is necessary for sowing wheat, or how to sow seeds, Bayramov told Trend on March 6.

  • AZ: Ambassador: “Sweden sees Azerbaijan as strategic ICT partner in Caucasus”

    Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov has met with Mikael Eriksson.

    According to Ministry, stressing the reforms in ICT sector, national and regional projects implemented, the ambassador noted that Sweden sees Azerbaijan as strategic ICT partner in Caucasus. According to Eriksson, Swedish leading companies are interested in investing in Azerbaijan and State Fund for IT Development, as well as techno park, to be established, will allow realization of these projects.

  • AZ: Baku, Prague Discuss Possibilities Of Cooperation On Smart City Projects

    Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic have discussed possibilities of cooperation on the smart city and smart village projects, Azernews reports.

    The discussion took place during a meeting between Azerbaijan's Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Mammadov and Czech Ambassador Milan Sedlacek.

  • AZ: Culture & Tourism Ministry to integrate in E-Government portal by September

    The Ministry of Culture & Tourism of Azerbaijan will acquire more than 20 electronic digital signatures (EDS).

    The Ministry of Communications & IT informs that to date the MCTA has built and put into operation a new server room to be used for storage of servers, provision of e-services, and protection of inside information in order to integrate into state info system E-Government.

    The Culture & Tourism Ministry has also created the site of e-services operating at e-services.mct.gov.az, where people can enjoy 12 e-services provided by this Ministry.

  • AZ: Cybernet to develop software for State Registry of Collateral over Movable Property

    Cybernet, the leading IT solutions provider in Azerbaijan, will develop software for the State Registry of Collateral over Movable Property, the company informed on March 28.

    The companywon the relevanttender announced by Azerbaijan's Financial Market Supervisory Authority.

  • AZ: Government issues over 20,000 e-signature certificates

    Provision of citizens with e-government services not only simplifies the access for social services, but also contributes to the transition to the digital government in the country.

    The National Certification Center issued 20,376 certificates of e-signature in the first half of 2019, said the Information Computing Center under Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan.

  • AZ: Health ministry applies new e-services

    The e-government portal presented five new services of Azerbaijan's Health Ministry.

    The ministry said that these services include: the provision of a sanitary-epidemiological conclusion on the correspondence with the sanitary norms of radioactive substances and materials, devices, which are sources of the ionized radiation, conditions and methods of transportation of devices and radioactive waste.

  • AZ: 'E-government' portal to launch in March 2012

    'Electronic government' portal so far includes 15 Azerbaijani state authorities, according to the ICT Ministry.

    Other state authorities have addressed the Communication and Information Technologies Ministry to join the portal and the process will run stage by stage within the preparation of IT-structure by these authorities.

    According to the information, 'E-government' portal (ehdis.az) is expected to launch in March 2012. The portal has so far placed 10 state authorities offering 49 online services.

  • AZ: "E-government" portal launch postponed

    "Electronic government" portal launch is postponed, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry told Trend on Friday.

    "It was planned to be launched in March," a source said. "It is delayed because most of the e-services presented on the portal are basic. This is unlikely to be in demand among the population."

    It will be announced about the final term of launching the portal after a list of services most popular among the population is created.

  • AZ: "E-government" portal to be launched by October

    "E-government" portal is expected to be launched by early October, head of the department at the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry Isbandiyar Aliyev told Trend.

    Aliyev said that the operations are under completion.

    The electronic services already provided by state bodies, as well as new services will be available at the portal.

  • AZ: 18 types of e-services to be applied in culture and services in 2013

    Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture and Tourism will apply 18 kinds of e-services in 2013.

    According to sources in the Ministry, 3 kinds of e-services have already been applied including the receipt of e-applications, complaints and proposals, e-registration for appointment with administrative posts (minister, deputy minister, heads of departments) of the ministry, receipt of e-document for issuance of licenses to tourism companies, hotels and other facilities for tourism activity.

  • AZ: 2014, significant year for ICT development

    Azerbaijan took significant steps in 2014 to lay the foundation for information and communication development.

    The important steps included establishment of the new Ministry of Communication and High Technology Ministry, implementation of the Mobile Number Portability project, financing the start-up projects, production of fiber-optic cable, as well as further development of satellite communication.

  • AZ: A dozen of state organizations whose e-services in most demand among citizens defined

    The State Agency for Citizen Service & Social Innovations and the Ministry of Communications & IT are holding today in Baku the public hearings on the Draft State Program of Expansion of Public E-Services & Development of E-Government 2013-15.

    Speaking at the opening of the hearings, Agency’s chairman Inam Kerimov stated that the draft program has passed the process of inter-ministerial coordination.

  • AZ: Administrative access to e-government limited by individual ID numbers

    President Ilham Aliyev has endorsed the Regulation on portal E-Government (e-gov.az) and additional measures aimed at expanding electronic state services.

    Under the relevant order, the Cabinet Ministers is in charge to draft for two months the State Program of expansion of e-services of state bodies and e-government development for 2013-15, as well as proposals for regulation of creation of state e-systems and resources. For the same period the President should receive the requirements for web-resources, systems and services connected to e-gov.az.

  • AZ: All local authorities will be connected to e-government portal - Deputy Minister

    In the next three years, all local authorities will be connected to e-government portal, Deputy ICT Minister Elmir Valizadeh said.

    According to him, this work will be carried out within the framework of the State Program on development of "e-government" and the expansion of electronic services in public bodies for 2013-2015.
