The Haryana Cabinet today decided the commission would recommend changes in the organisational structure, methods of departmental operation and decentralisation of power. These are aimed at promoting efficiency, economy, transparency and responsiveness in the overall delivery of services.
It will also recommend ways to create an environment where government functionaries can respond to the people with courtesy, a spirit of understanding and helpfulness.
The commission will also recommend ways of promoting ethics in governance and honesty in public dealings, besides recommending more effective monitoring-and-evaluation systems relating to personnel and programmes. The commission will also suggest ways of promoting e-governance in all departments and at all levels. It will have its headquarters here and Camp Office in New Delhi.
