From purchasing tickets online to live bus navigation, passengers can now enjoy smooth electric bus travel with “Chalo” mobile application launched under the Smart City project.

To streamline the entire bus travel experience, Chalo mobile app allows passengers to buy bus tickets and pass through e-wallet.

Besides, through this mobile application passengers will be able to track the movement of e-buses.

CEO, Srinagar Smart City Limited AtharAamir said the mobile app will facilitate digital and advance purchase of e-bus tickets.

“Chalo App will be beneficial for people as they can navigate the buses, get online tickets and make payments, check the routine scheduling, timing of the buses,” he said.

He said the app is not only for monitoring but also navigating the buses. ” Beyond ticketing, we’ve incorporated features for online payments and grievance resolution, making it incredibly beneficial for the public. People can also log their grievances as well,” he said.

He said that with its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features, it is set to transform the way people perceive and engage with public transportation in Srinagar.

Route scheduling technology ensures that buses are optimally deployed to meet the demand of commuters at any given time, resulting in reduced waiting times and increased efficiency.

100 electric buses were commissioned in Srinagar in November last year. So far over 5 lakh passengers have travelled in e-buses on various routes in Srinagar.
