Gulf Business Machines (GBM), the region’s leading provider of customised IT solutions, has announced its Diamond Sponsorship for the Bahrain International e-Government Forum. 2014.

The event,will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) on April 21-23.

Abdullah Ishaq, Country Manager of Bahrain Business Machines (BBM), GBM’s Bahrain subsidiary, affirmed the company’s support in a recent signing ceremony. Representing the summit organisers at the event were Ahmed Naeemi, Head of Sponsorship & Exhibition Committee; and, Eng. Jameel Al Alawi, Head of the Logistics Committee and a member of the Bahrain Society of Engineers.

Commenting on GBM’s support for the summit, Ishaq said: "We are very pleased to sponsor this important forum, which plays a significant role in realising the government’s plan to implement international best practices across the ICT function within the Kingdom of Bahrain. We increasingly rely on the use of online tools in business and government, and it is therefore, essential that our infrastructure continues to utilise the most innovative and reliable technology available. I look forward to welcoming visitors from across the public and private sector to learn more about the latest solutions and services that will enhance our e-Government platforms."

This year’s event marks the seventh consecutive year that GBM has supported the summit as a Diamond-level sponsor. This year, GBM will showcase its full range of IT solutions and services, which include innovative cloud infrastructures and IT networks, along with analytical software that helps improve decision-making capabilities and manage risks. GBM will also share information with delegates on its unique Learning Services Programme, which offers over 1,000 comprehensive IT training courses across the region.
