Dubai Customs has earned the 2015 GCC eGovernment Award in the category ‘Best Government Service for Business Sector’. The award was claimed by DC’s latest B2G (Business to Government) integrated channel – an in-house developed electronic service created to reinforce customs facilitations for business.

Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, was presented with the award by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the opening of the 4th GCC eGovernment Conference & Exhibition, which recently took place in Manama under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in presence of VIPs and senior officials from across the GCC.

The awarded B2G service is an integrated channel offered by Dubai Customs for its eligible business partners who conduct high volume business with Customs using Mirsal 2. The integrated service enables authorized clients to submit declarations online from client’s system to Mirsal 2 with easy 24/7 transactional processing and E-payment facility taking place directly between both parties, which brings them substantial time and cost savings.

The Dubai Customs’ Director said in a comment: “We are proud to win this prestigious GCC eGovernment Award, which truly culminates our great efforts towards electronic and smart transformation of all of our customs systems and services in order to offer real added value to traders and investors, and ultimately support sustainable growth of Dubai and the UAE.”
