The newly-created Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (Dius) is the first big department to join the Flex managed service contract signed with Fujitsu in May. And the Office of National Statistics is also using the deal for parts of its IT support.

UAE: Dubai Municipalities technology week proceeds well
Dubai Municipalities Environment Division's Technology Week has so far processed more than 1250 transactions online.Engineer Hussein Nasir Lootah, Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, has said that the Technology Week campaign launched by the Dubai Municipality (DM) on September 23 with the Environment Division of the municipality has been attracting very big patronage from clients, adding that all transactions of the Environment Division, including those from outside the DM's premises and from the special platform erected within the DM main office, were being processed electronically since the campaign took-off.
