The International Academy of Visual Arts recognized IN.gov as winner of a 2010 W3 Gold Award for the 2010 Indiana State Fair website (www.in.gov/statefair/fair/index.html). Receiving over 3,000 entries, the W3 Awards honor creative excellence on the web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning sites.
The Indiana State Fair is the sixth oldest State Fair in the country and received more than 950,000 visitors in just 17 days. The State Fair website recorded as many as 16,524 visits per day, totaling more than 347,000 visitors in less than 20 days.
“This kind of recognition reinforces our belief that we are effectively communicating all the great programs, exhibits and entertainment at the Indiana State Fair through our website,” said Margaret Davidson, the fair’s director of presentation and development. “We always try to put out a product all Hoosiers can be proud of, and we sincerely appreciate this honor from the International Academy of the Visual Arts.”
