Transforming Government since 2001
The Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Geologists is pleased to announce its first online service available for licensees. Professional geologists and geologists-in-training can now pay for their license renewals online, saving time with a shorter, faster renewal process. Before the online service, licensees had to mail their applications with payment, waiting days or weeks for the Board to process or respond to applications. By eliminating the paper application process, licensees are now able to renew their licenses quickly and securely using an online web application.

“The Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Geologists is excited to announce the availability of the renewal application on our web site,” stated Keith E. Warren, Executive Secretary for the Board. “We are proud to offer this service to our licensees as an advanced option of renewing which will eliminate paper, postage and delays in processing renewal licenses. This also eliminates liability of funds in transit and will allow the funds to be directly deposited into the Board’s fund in the State Treasury. In addition, the Board is reviewing possibilities of other online options to assist licensees and potential licensees of obtaining information, licenses and updates.”

The geologist license renewal application joins a host of online services created for the state of Alabama through its partnership with Alabama Interactive, which began in 2002.
