At these centres, the villagers of the area can avail the following services for a nominal fee: digital photograph, videograph, NREGA photograph and data collection, submission of forms to various government departments, information regarding addition, deletion and modification in electoral rolls, data regarding land acquisition and records, internet, birth, death certificates, BSNL bill payment, mobile phone recharge cards, railway reservation, LIC premium payment, etc.
To offer such services the department under the Integrated Cooperative Development Programme has sanctioned Rs. 1.25 lakh towards purchase of computer, printer and other accessories. The services, though offered at the aforementioned PACS, will be with help from Srei Sahaj E-village Ltd., a subsidiary of SREI Infrastructure Finance Ltd. Srei Sahaj E-village has embarked on the project to establish common service centres, which is one of the four pillars of the National e-Governance Project.
