Citizens can pay: Electricity bills - Telephone bills - New water connection charges - LIC insurance premium - Railway ticket booking - KSRTC and private buses booking - Monthly bus pass renewal - Domestic flight bookings - Property tax extract - Passport applications and registration - Issue of birth and death certificates and other services involving multiple government departments, semi-government organisations and to some extent, private companies.

With a view to make the administration citizen-friendly by lessening the time people spend on queues to pay their bills, the State Government has launched MysoreOne Integrated Citizens' Service Centre.

District In-Charge Minister S. Suresh Kumar inaugurated the Service Centre at the MCC Zonal Office-6 on Sheshadri Iyer Road opposite Vidya Vardhaka College here this morning.

The Centre, one of the five such Centres to be established in the city, is an ambitious project of the e-Governance Department and the Directorate of Electronic Delivery Citizens' Services (EDCS), taken up in collaboration with the Mysore District Administration, MCC and MUDA.

The service will be available from 8 am to 8 pm on all days, except on government holidays. Payments can be made either in cash, by cheque, Demand Draft, credit or debit cards.

Services will be delivered quickly with minimal waiting time and the queue system will be electronically monitored.

The speciality of this one-stop bill payment centre is that the services will be available on "any service, any centre, any counter basis".

Four other Centres will be established at the following places: MCC Zonal Office near Jayanagar Railway Gate in Krishnamurthypuram; Gautham Shopping Complex of MUDA in Siddhartha Nagar; first floor of MUDA Shopping Complex in Ramakrishna Nagar and MUDA Shopping Complex in Gokulam Second Stage.

"Once the five centres are set up, six more will be established in the city in a week's time, especially in NR constituency where a sizeable chunk of the population lives below the poverty line," said Suresh Kumar and added that the Government proposed to set up one centre for every MCC Ward in city in the forthcoming years. There is also a proposal to make the service available round the clock.

Most of the services will be free of cost, barring a few services like railway tickets booking, PUC exam papers revaluation, etc.

During the inaugural function, MLAs H.S. Shankaralingegowda and Tanveer Sait, Mayor Sandesh Swamy, Deputy Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath, MLCs Thontadarya, Siddaraju & Prof. K.R. Mallikarjunappa, Corporator Devaraju, e-Governance General Secretary M.N. Vidyashankar, CEO Dr. D.S. Ravindran, MCC Commissioner K.S. Raikar, MUDA Commissioner P.C. Jayanna, EDCS Director B. Chandrashekhar were present.
