Hyundai Motor India Engineering issued the first offer letter for allotment of 270 acres in the mega industrial hub project that will be spread on 3,245 acres

The new office of NICDIT Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City (NICZISCL), the special purpose vehicle (SPV) constituted for the development of the Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City, was inaugurated on Friday.

Marking the occasion, the first offer letter was issued to Hyundai Motor India Engineering for the allotment of 270 acres in Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City. The allotment is expected to pave the way for industrial development, create employment opportunities and contribute to the economic growth of Telangana, the SPV said.

The new office, which was inaugurated by Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation vice chairman and MD K.Shashanka, will serve as the operational base of NICZISCL. It will facilitate planning, development and administration of the industrial smart city and act as a point of contact for prospective investors. Lt Cdr Ravindranath Reddy, CEO (P) of TGIIC along with other senior officials participated in the programme.

NICZISCL said it is inviting prospective investors and industries to invest in the Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City and be part of the project envisaged as a leading industrial hub in the State.

Last month, addressing a meeting of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT), IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City development will be completed by March 2028 and the Telangana government is eyeing around investments worth ₹15,000 crore.

Poised to be a major industrial and manufacturing hub in Telangana, the smart city is to be developed over 3,245 acres and once fully operational generate direct and indirect employment for nearly two lakh people, he said. The Telangana government has 51% stake in the project, by way of land, while the Central government is providing financial support for the development of the industrial corridor.
