As part of the eGovernment's Authority vision to provide convenient electronic services through numerous channels for everyone, the eGovernment Authority recently announced its summer awareness campaign at the Bahrain City Center starting from June 16th to July 31st with the aim to familiarize the public with the available electronic services with a special focus on the eKiosks payment services as one of the innovative payment methods to easen and maximize citizen usage of government services at anytime and anywhere.

The eKiosk provides users the opportunity to carry out their electronic transactions smoothly and contributes to closing the gap between the public and the government services to strengthen the concept of quality and integrity in all the services provided. The 35 eKiosks are distributed in different locations in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

On this occasion, Mr. Mohammed Ziad Asfour, the Assistant Director of Marketing and Awareness Directorate at the eGovernment Authority, stated, "The eGovernment Authority is keen to launch these awareness campaigns ongoing basis in order to introduce all our electronic services and educate the public through the various channels serving as a reminder to how citizens can utilize the portal. Within this context we have launched our summer campaign at the Mall, where public mostly spend their time in the holidays, to introduce the (eKiosk) and explain to the visitors of our stand how it works, highlighting security level features, privacy and flexibility of these machines."

Mr. Asfour confirmed that placing the eKiosk in public venues such as malls, hospitals, schools, banks and other governmental premises is in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 aimed at providing all government services for all individuals and institutions.

The campaign is aimed to raise the awareness among the community and Bahrain's visitors to benefit from the electronic government services in addition to adding a sense of amusement and educational entertainment whereby stand visitors get a chance to participate in the eKiosk competition by answering the question relating to the kiosk and placing answer for a raffle draw that will end 16th, July.

Currently, the eKiosks are providing a number of electronic government services. Three of these services provide payment services Electricity and Water Outage Complaints, Renewal and Payment of Mailboxes, and Payment of Criminal Order.

Others are: Flight Information, Check Drugs Prices, Body Mass Index, Maternity Date Calculator, Postal Packages Tracking, Refuse Bags Status Tracking, Legality of Foreign Worker, Student Immunization Record, Check your Blood Record, Unit Maintenance Request Status, Radiology Result Status, Health Worker Immunization Record, Currency Converter, Accredited Mission in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Contact Details of Salmaniya Medical Complex, Contact Details of Hospital, and Contact Details of Health Centers.
