A total of 3,855 users accessed 12 electronic services of Bahrain’s Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning (MoW) during the third quarter of 2016, a top official said.

The month of August witnessed the highest number of users (1,573), followed by September with 1,203 users, and then July with 1,079 users, added Hisham Sater, IT director at the ministry.

Sater explained the latest two services are the Road Level Request and the Internal Tenders eService, which were added to the 10 previous services (sanitary maintenance request, sanitary connection request, traffic signals request, report road fault, abnormal load permission, contractor pre-qualification, materials testing results, traffic diversion request, the material/product assessment and building maintenance request).

The materials testing results service saw the highest number of users with 2,209 users, and then came the traffic diversion service with 733 requests and the Internal Tenders Service with 246 users.

According to Sater, the latest two services have also received a very positive response, attracting 220 users.

The services can be accessed through both the ministry’s portal works.gov.bh, and the eGovernment portal bahrain.bh.
