Twelve Abu Dhabi government entities will display their services on a combined stand hosted by Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) at Gitex.

ADSIC, the government entity in charge of Abu Dhabi’s ICT agenda, has revealed its plan for showcasing the emirate’s futuristic e-services and solutions at the upcoming event to be held on October 20-24 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The presence of Abu Dhabi’s e-government services this year includes a single stand of 350 square metres, which is six times bigger than the previous year.

Commenting on Abu Dhabi e-government’s participation, Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General at ADSIC, said, “Integration of e-government services is vital in transforming public services. Our participation under a single umbrella is a result of Abu Dhabi government’s commitment to integrate on all levels in order to improve the quality of how we interact with our citizens, residents and businesses. Gitex is the region’s leading IT event and therefore, is an ideal platform for us to display as well as promote Abu Dhabi e-government.”

Al Mansoori highlighted that Abu Dhabi’s recently launched CityGuard mobile app is a fine example of a user-centric mobile app that provides efficient services to the public by leveraging integration between different e-Government platforms to provide efficient public services.

“Our participation at Gitex is marked with interactive demos and launch of other beneficial, user-friendly mobile apps and services,” he added. “This is only the second year of our participation at Gitex and we are proud to have increased our presence six times over last year. It distinctly provides visibility to each of the government entities and e-services. The stand has been creatively designed to encapsulate Abu Dhabi Government’s brand values of unity, integrity, wisdom and strength, while offering our visitors an interactive and dynamic experience through innovative formats.”

Following a mandate to facilitate the modernization of government services, the Centre plays a key role in Abu Dhabi’s goal in ranking among the world’s most advanced governments.
