This service saves time and effort for customers

The second phase of the new e-services has been launched by the Mohammad Bin Rashid Housing Establishment’s engineering surveillance department.

The services that will be made use of by contractors allows for applying for a financial payment project implemented by contractors electronically without the need to physically visit the establishment as is the case now.

Engineer Faisal Nasreddin Al Bulooki, director of engineering management, said that the contractors have to use their personal code and download all documents related to the payment. The payment will be done electronically and the system will send a text message automatically to the owner informing him of details of the payment due to the contractor for his approval, either to continue or discontinue the procedure.

Al Bulooki explained that this service saves time and effort for customers, as the contractor will be able to apply for payments without the need to visit the establishment and can follow up the procedure through the establishment’s web site.

He added that this phase is a prelude to the launching of the next phase, which will include presenting requests through smartphone services next year.

Engineer Abdul Karim Mansour Sultan, Head of the Engineering Supervisory Department, said that the first phase — the registration of contractors — received a noticeable interaction on the part of contractors who rushed to be registered in the service. The number of requests for registration reached. He explained that all applications were studied and that 359 accounts were activated.

He added that 59 requests were rejected due to mismatched information, while 113 applications are awaiting activation.

Sultan added that the use of the service currently is optional, where the users will be trained to use it through different tools. He added that during the first quarter of next year this service for contractors will be compulsory for them to get used to making applications through the establishment’s website as a prelude for launching the service through smartphones during the third quarter of 2015.
