Transforming Government since 2001

The Cabinet Secretariat on Sunday instructed ministries, non-ministerial bodies and governorates to continue conducting official correspondence through the government e-mail system, reinforcing the government’s push toward a full digital transition, the Secretariat said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The Secretariat’s Administrative and Financial Department directed institutions to replace paper-based procedures with digital communication in line with the government’s broader digitization agenda.

According to the statement, the directive forms part of efforts led by the Secretary-General of the Cabinet to embed digital transformation as a core operational standard across state institutions.

The initiative aims to streamline administrative processes, enhance the efficiency of transaction processing, and establish a more effective work environment marked by transparency, accuracy and secure data handling — ultimately improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
