In a recent announcement, Yousef Kazem, the official spokesperson for the unified government application for electronic services, known as “Sahel,” revealed the app’s remarkable success. Since its launch on September 15, 2021, until the end of 2023, the application has efficiently processed over 30 million transactions and services.

Kazem shared key statistics highlighting the achievements of the “Sahel” application during this period. The app boasts a comprehensive array of (356) electronic services provided by (35) government agencies. These services cover a wide spectrum, contributing to the diversity of offerings to citizens.

The total number of transactions and services completed through the “Sahel” application reached an impressive (30,226,374) million transactions. Users have also received a substantial number of notifications, with (100,413,592) million notifications delivered through the application’s notification feature.

The “Sahel” application has garnered a significant user base, with (1,648,211) users accessing its services across various smart devices. Kazem expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from the Council of Ministers and the clear directives from His Excellency the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Fahd Al-Shoula.

Kazem attributed the digital boom of the “Sahel” application to the continuous encouragement and guidance received, emphasizing the commitment to enhancing user confidence. The application’s success is credited to its diverse and impactful services, contributing to the ongoing digital transformation in Kuwait.

He acknowledged the pivotal role played by various government agencies in expanding the range of services available through the “Sahel” application. The commitment to continuous development in transaction procedures ensures an efficient and user-friendly experience for citizens, reinforcing Kuwait’s journey toward a technologically empowered government system. This transformation aims to foster the well-being of Kuwaiti citizens through enhanced digital services and accessibility.
