Da Nang city has seen achievements in one year of implementing the Party Central Committee’s resolution on digital transformation.
100% of public services are now offered at level 4, the highest level in Viet Nam’s online public service system.
Last year, Da Nang won a 2022 Vietnam Digital Transformation Award in the category of “State agency with excellent digital transformation” and won the Best Vietnam Smart City Award for a third consecutive year.
Da Nang, whose theme for 2023 is ‘Unleashing resources, attracting investment, maintaining economic growth, and ensuring social welfare’, will focus on exploiting digital data, continuing administrative reforms to improve the management of the city and its resources, and integrating into ASEAN’s network of smart cities.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Head of Da Nang’s Department of Information and Communications, said: “Last year we promoted digital transformation in all fields and saw positive achievements. Digital transformation contributed 17% of the city’s GRDP and helped individuals and businesses in many areas. This year we will further exploit digital technology and data in administration, smart management, business, and other services.”
