Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan reported that the visit’s main purpose is to familiarize with e-registration system (“single window”) based on the Latvian companies’ experience.
“Within the visit Azeri delegation will familiarize with introduction of e-registration, e-signature, and e-turnover of documents with legislation base in this sphere and will research possibilities of introduction of the systems in Azerbaijan,” was said in the press-release.
During the visit, it is planned to hold meetings of the delegation with Latvian state bodies.
The visit was organized because Azerbaijan started switching to e-government system, which will be realized in 2008 with help of WBG.
The visit of Azeri delegation was started on November 28. Azerbaijan is switching to business registration by “single window” rule from January 1, 2008. Ministry of Taxes is recording body.
