The Information & Computing Centre of the Ministry of Communications & IT of Azerbaijan has developed a new system for providing public access to portal "e-government” (ehdis.az).

According to the Ministry, now to get access to the portal it is necessary to use e-application system for receiving the identification data.

To obtain a user name and password, along with the ID, the visitor must also provide mobile phone number or passport, driver’s license, certificate of state social insurance. The requested documents are needed to verify the reliability of the data.

Simplification of the system is that users should not have to apply in writing to the ICC to obtain a username and password that will enable to avoid queues and loss of time.

It is assumed that the new system will further increase range of portal users.
