The meeting dealt with steps attained by the e-Government technical committee on path to implement this vital and strategic project in Yemen as well as the technical support that can be offered by the ESCWA in that regard, in addition to the contribution to mobilize the required fund from donors to succeed this project.
The officials' meeting also made reference to experience of the ESCWA that the committee may get benefit from in that field.
Sharaf al-Din affirmed Yemen's keenness to implement and succeed this project to cope with modern global developments in improving the governmental performance and ensuring transparency in the framework of efforts to combat corruption.
He also praised the readiness of ESCWA to provide technical support and expertise needed to make the project carried out successfully.
For his part, the ESCWA director hailed the distinctive efforts achieved by the committee of the e-Government project, asserting to provide the overall needed support for Yemen to implement this project.
