Senegal is marking a decisive step in its national transformation with the launch of the key projects of the New Deal for Technology. According to Papa Déthié Diouf, a member of the Digital Economy Commission of MONCAP, this initiative represents a major turning point in the country's development trajectory.
"Digital technology is no longer an option; it has become a central pillar of our economic, social and territorial development," said Mr. Diouf.
In this context, he emphasizes that the New Deal for Technology must serve as a strategic lever to accelerate innovation, promote the creation of sustainable jobs and strengthen Senegal's digital sovereignty.
Papa Déthié Diouf stressed the need to position Senegal as a major player in the digital economy in Africa: “Our ambition must be clear: to make Senegal a major player in the digital economy in Africa. I remain convinced that it is through concrete, inclusive and structuring actions that we will succeed in building a future that lives up to our aspirations,” he maintained.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting this momentum, ensuring that the projects undertaken tangibly benefit the population, particularly young people and local economic actors.
