Tashkent city administration has discussed the potential use of artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and smart city technologies with representatives of China's Shanghai LinkWise Data Tech as the capital continues efforts to advance digital transformation.

The meeting on June 18 brought together Shanghai LinkWise Data Tech Chairman Wang Xuhui, LinkWise joint venture Deputy Director Javokhir Makhmudov, Tashkent Deputy Mayor for Information Technology Alisher Dusmuhamedov, and Adviser on China Affairs Eldor Kholmatov.

According to the Tashkent city administration, discussions focused on accelerating digital transformation and improving the use of artificial intelligence-based solutions in urban management. The sides also explored the consolidation of data into a unified digital environment for analysis, processing, and storage.

The talks further covered the development of cloud infrastructure and the potential construction of data centers in Uzbekistan, reflecting growing demand for digital services and data processing capacity.

Particular attention was given to digital solutions under the "Safe City" and "Comfortable Urban Environment" concepts. Areas discussed included smart traffic management, congestion analysis and forecasting, public safety technologies, environmental monitoring, and measures aimed at improving the efficiency of municipal services.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue dialogue on expanding cooperation, developing prospective joint projects, and supporting Tashkent's digital development priorities.
