The Office of the Head of Government said, he, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, "recognizes the importance of Information Technology and Communication (ICT)" and for this reason, "has decided to make a tool of governance, in accordance with his policy statement through which he had to identify the priorities of his government."
Therefore the Haitian Head of Government will utilize an agreement signed with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) called the "New Technologies and Institutional Capacity Building of the Government of the Republic of Haiti" program whose E-Governance Unit is responsible for executing the implementation of the Integrated Platform of Haitian Government (PIGH) to ensure implementation of basic ICT infrastructure of the Central Administration of the State and administrative features needed.
The basic components of this integrated platform will focus on the following areas:
- A system of standardized e-mail within the Public Administration;
- A dashboard management and dissemination of information on all reconstruction projects;
- The "quick wins" such as: company registration online, electronic directory of institutions of public administration and many others.
The Office of the Head of Government said that Prime Minister Lamothe through the E-Governance Unit is constantly seeking technological solutions for the benefit of the Government of the Republic. Also, to allow institutions to better fulfill their administrative functions, the Prime Minister brings the latest technology produced by Microsoft: MICROSOFT OFFICE 365 for GOVERNMENT is platform providing IT services "online" to meet the requirements of security, reliability and portability of a government.
The seminar will allow students to better equip themselves to provide adequate and effective service to users of the function public.
