"As part of our efforts to position DEWA as a world-class sustainable utility, we are constantly working on developing services to meet international standards and practices. The 'Serving you more with e-Convenience' campaign is part of DEWA's strategic initiatives and efforts to enhance levels of customer service, convenience, and satisfaction through implementation of latest electronic and online technological solutions. Our participation in 'GITEX 2012' will provide us the opportunity to meet our customers and update them with the latest e-Services, including learning about the best practices of other Government Departments," said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
"DEWA is committed to protect the environment and our e-Services will not only help customers save time, effort, and money but also save the environment by reducing Co2 emissions as a result of smaller number of customer visits to the customer service centres," Al Tayer added.
Highlighting DEWA's role as a world-class, customer-centric and technologically adept utility, the campaign will enable customers to win attractive prizes by paying their bills through DEWA's website (dewa.gov.ae) or through making the mobile phone e-service (mPay). The range of e-services' eligibility for winning prizes include bill payment, activation of supply (move-in) and final bill (move-out) requests.
"As part of our continuous efforts to ensure satisfaction by providing e-services of world standards, offering reliability, and efficiency, DEWA has adopted the latest technological advancements in the various areas of our operations. The IT Division has contributed immensely to make the current e-Service initiative successful and beneficial to our customers," said Marwan Bin Haider VP / CIO of IT Department.
"We are committed to provide the most effective solutions that will positively enhance customer experience, invariably translating to customer satisfaction. In this respect, DEWA was one of the first government bodies to have launched new initiatives to improve service levels. Our effort is to constantly update our customer operations to provide the best in services for DEWA's customers," said Amal Al Suwaidi, VP of Customer Relations Department.
DEWA will be one of the largest government bodies represented in "GITEX 2012" as part of the Dubai eGovernment stand in the exhibition, which will run from 14th to 18th October this year. It is worth mentioning that DEWA is reinforcing its cooperation with different establishments, ministries, and other government bodies to offer the best customer service standards and to expand services to reach all segments of the community.
The draws to win prizes under 'Serving you more with e-Convenience' will start from the second day of GITEX for three consecutive days. Terms and conditions restrict eligibility; customers, who have utilised e-services only, between the 1st August and 11th October 2012, are entitled to participate.
