Saudi Organization for Industrial Estates and Technology Zones (SOIETZ) launched this week through its electronic website, e-services including submitting industrial and residential land requests electronically, after having been observing considerable attention from investors and industrialists for its website. The e-services will contribute to saving time whereas the applicant will no longer need to visit SOIETZ offices along with bundle of documents, photographs and files. All that is needed is access to SOIETZ website www.soietz.gov.sa and fill-in the required request or inquiry, which one wishes to follow-up or to acquire an answer.

This was stated by Dr. Tawfig F. Al-Rabiah, Director General of Saudi Organization for Industrial Estates and Technology Zones (SOIETZ). He stressed that this service has been activated since the beginning of this year 2008 and since the publication of this news SOIETZ will not accept any applications submitted directly.

He further stressed that e-services will provide a quick and effective service and comes in the context of the overall SOIETZ strategy for 2008, which includes the launch of the development of contacts between SOIETZ departments, linking all departments with industrial cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia electronically and implementation of receiving all applications from investors and its customers electronically through its website, whereby they will receive a response to their inquiries and requests directly and speedily within 48 hours. SOIETZ has sought to facilitate the work procedures and to serve investors and industrialists in the shortest possible time. The website contains the possibility to explore the sites where land is currently available and submit requests for industrial land in these industrial cities. This comes in line with the trend towards the development of infrastructure for e-government.
