  • Framework 4.0: Enhancing Digital Government in Vietnam

    Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology has officially launched the “Vietnam Digital Government Architecture Framework, Version 4.0”, aiming to provide a comprehensive, unified structure for the nation’s digital government initiatives. This update is designed to help ministries, sectors and localities better align their digital architectures with the evolving national framework and ensure smoother integration across government systems.

    The new framework lays out the components and relationships of Vietnam’s digital government system, offering a clear view of current efforts and future goals. Much like a roadmap, it will help stakeholders understand the tasks at hand and guide the future development of the digital ecosystem while ensuring that various systems are interconnected and avoid duplication.

  • Indonesia, UAE partner to strengthen digital government services

    Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to strengthen government services in both countries through the exchange of experience and expertise, particularly in new technology.

    Indonesian Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria said the initiative follows last week’s meeting between the two governments.

  • 2nd e-government workshop for MENA region begins in Qatar

    Hosted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in cooperation with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN-DESA), the 2nd edition of the e-government workshop for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region has kicked off in Qatar.

    The two-day workshop features the participation of the representatives of the United Nations, Arab countries, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and other regional nations, in addition to official delegations, experts, and representatives of international organizations.

  • IN: Karnataka: My Belagavi app to provide real-time information on buses

    Eager to render the experience of bus commuters hassle-free, the Belagavi Smart City Ltd (BSCL) has decided to introduce an app that will enable passengers to ascertain the exact location of the bus, in addition to providing them information on the nearest bus terminal. The ‘My Belagavi’ app, now available for download on the Google PlayStore will enable passengers to plan their journey to the minute.

    Thus far, 64 buses have been equipped with GPS devices, and data on their location will be updated on the app in real time. This will provide passengers with regular updates on the schedule of buses, and details of the nearest bus terminal. Furthermore, 10 bus shelters have been upgraded into smart terminals, with closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, 15-inch LED screens, WiFi facility and billboards. Citizens can now avail of WiFi facility at the bus shelters for 15 minutes.

    The Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform and the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) signed a framework agreement on Friday in Rabat to advance e-government and expand the secure use of digital identity linked to the new electronic National Identity Card.

    Signed by Minister Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni and the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, the partnership aligns with the Royal High Directives and the «Digital Morocco 2030» strategy. It aims to improve citizens’ access to public services through strengthened institutional cooperation.
