    The "e-government" portal is going to be ready to provide interactive services this December. Askar Zhumagaliyev, chairman of the Agency for computerisation and communication of RK, has stated this today, July 19, at a round table "Development of the e-government of RK and Kaznet," Kazakhstan Today correspondent reports.
  • Kazakhstan: "E-government" programme suggests 2 thousand new public internet venues

    2 thousand new public internet venues are going to be opened as a part of the "e-government" programme in Kazakhstan. Askar Zhumagaliyev, chairman of the Agency for computerisation and communication of RK, has stated this today, July 19, at a round table "Development of the e-government of RK and Kaznet," Kazakhstan Today correspondent reports.
  • Kazakhstan: 2nd stage of E-Government project implementation ended

    Today has come to an end the 2nd information stage of installation of Kazakhstan E-Government web-portal, Kazinform refers to the press service of Informatization and Communications Agency.

    It covered Transport and Communications, Interior, Agriculture, Emergency, Foreign Affairs Ministries and National Security Committee.

  • Kazakhstan: A lawyer urges rigid control over implementation of E-Gov't program

    During the special press conference in Almaty Head of the Global Initiative on Internet Policy in Kazakhstan project, lawyer Sofiya Isenova urged rigid state control over implementation of the State E-Government Program and called to formation of coalition of NGOs.

    The activity of the coalition will be oriented towards research of the society’s readiness to introduction of E-Government and organization of study activities in this direction, said the participants of the conference.

  • Kazakhstan: Astana presented new design of E-Government

    A demonstration of the new web-portal’s design of Kazakhstan's E-Government has been held today in Astana. According to head of the Agency on Informatization and Communication (AIC) of Kazakhstan Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev, the Фgency is going to improve a complex of the interactive services within the frame of the E-Government.

  • Kazakhstan: Cabinet to enhance introduction of E-Government

    President of Kazakhstan has charged the Government to speed up the introduction of “electronic government” at the joint session of Parliament’s Chambers today.It will increase effectiveness of state bodies’ activity and decline corruption and administrative barriers, the Head of the State stated.
  • Kazakhstan: E-Government draft concept approved on the task group level

    Today in the Government a regular session of the E-Government Concept proposal team chaired by deputy PM Grigory Marchenko has taken place, our agency has learnt in the PM’s press service.

    The participants of the task group are representatives of central and local executive bodies, private sector and Kazakhstani Association of IT companies. They surveyed the draft of the E-Government Concept developed by the Informatization and Communication Agency and discussed further trends in realization of shift of state management to electronic model.

  • Kazakhstan: E-Government to be established in Zhambyl region

    About KZT 700 mln will be allocated from the regional budget for introduction of Electronic Government in the region the next year, Kazinform refers to the press service of the regional Governor.

    The decision was taken on the regular session of deputies of the regional maslikhat, who stated that the rural areas of the region are lack of electronic document management and common computer literacy of the population.

  • Kazakhstan: Introduction of e-document management discussed in Astana

    Yesterday Constitutional Council of Kazakhstan held session organized by Kazakh Agency on Informatization and Communications. The sitting was dedicated to introduction of a single system of electronic document management of the state bodies with application of electronic digital signature; Kazinform refers to press service of the Agency. Within the conference Deputy Chairman of Informatization and Communications Agency K. Yessekeyev handled 9 electronically signed container documents to the administrators of Constitutional Council.
  • Kazakhstan: Mazhilis approved draft law On Informatization

    Mazhilis (lower chamber of Kazakh Parliament) has approved a draft law On Informatization in the first and second readings.

    Draft law On Informatization as of May 8, 2003 not meets with formed socioeconomic requirements and regulation processes of informatization in Kazakhstan. The main purpose of this project is to develop Kazakhstan’s information infrastructure including formation of e-Government, e-Akimat and construction of clear delimited chain of management in informatization field, Current Chairman of Kazakhstan Agency on Informatization and Communication Kuanyshbek Yesekeyev underlined.

  • Kazakhstan: National identification biometric system in Kazakhstan discussed

    Issues of creation of a national identification biometric system IN-BIO within the frameworks of concept implementation of E-government in Kazakhstan were considered at today’s session chaired by PM of Kazakhstan Daniyal Akhmetov, PM’s press service informs.
  • Kazakhstan: Ust Kamenogorsk prepares to hold international conference on "E-government"

    Ust Kamenogorsk is preparing to hold the IV international academic-practical conference on “Electronic government: results and prospects of development”, Kazinform refers to the press service of East Kazakhstan akimat (mayor’s office).

    The organizers of the conference are the East Kazakhstan region akimat staff with the support of “Zubr” consulting center and “Rating” IT-company.

Dosayev, the Russian expert of Institutional reform of the Russian public sector V. Gridnyov, representatives of the state bodies of Kazakhstan, non-governmental and foreign organizations participated in the forum’s work, Kazinform refers to Samgau Holding’s press service.

  • Kazakhtelecom expands network, Smart City services in East Kazakhstan

    Kazakhstan national operator Kazakhtelecom has completed the deployment of fibre lines in 14 villages in the East Kazakhstan region. Around 44 state institutions have been connected to internet services there. About 83 villages will be covered with the network in the region.

    Work is being carried out under the framework of a national programme. Kazakhtelecom plans to cover almost 2.5 million residents in remote areas with broadband. The national operator plans to build 14,500 kilometres of fibre lines and to connect almost 2,500 state and municipal institutions in 828 villages across the country this year.

  • Kazpost develops e-services

    Kazpost intends to raise additional capital in the form of loans and in the form of increasing the participation of its principal shareholder in order to implement innovative projects.

    Kazpost is expanding the range of electronic services as part of its activities in fulfilling proposals announced by the Kazakh President in his state of the nation address. Postmen are already developing such services as e-bills and take active part in the e-government program. Currently, postmen are working intensively with the Public Service Centers. Any citizen of Kazakhstan may submit documents to PSCs and obtain formalized documents through Kazpost or they can hand over the documents in electronic form, and they will be delivered by Kazpost as well.

  • KR: Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Set to Become a Hub to Spread Korean e-Government Model

    The Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Korea held the e-Government Cooperation Forum with Kazakhstan, an e-Government leader in the Middle East, on April 25 (Korean time) in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana. During the forum, public officials and experts from the two countries held a heated discussion on various issues on e-Government including government data center and future strategies for digital government.

    At Kazakh President Nazarbayev’s state visit to Seoul in November last year, the Ministry of the Interior of Korea and the Ministry of Information and Communications of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on e-Government.

  • KR: Kazakhstan seeks Korean partnership in smart city, innovation drive

    Kazakhstan is moving to position itself as a Central Asian hub for innovation and digital finance through the ambitious Alatau City Project, with the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Bozumbayev Kanat calling for stronger partnerships with Korea in areas from smart city development to renewable energy and healthcare.

    Speaking at an international investment roadshow titled “Alatau Rise with Kazakhstan” in Seoul, Wednesday, Bozumbayev said the Kazakh government is pursuing a comprehensive strategy to transform its urban and economic landscape through advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics and digital finance.
