Philadelphia expects its streetlight project to yield multiple benefits, saving time and money and improving city services.

As cities around the country seek to leverage smart technology, Philadelphia is continuing its efforts to collect data to address inequality. The city’s recently announced smart streetlight pilot is another tool employed to level the playing field for all of the city’s residents.

The Bengaluru Smart City Limited (BSCL) has received applications from nearly 1,000 graduates for 62 intern posts so far under the Urban Learning Internship Programme of the Union government.

The maximum response has been received from civil engineers and computer science graduates who will get first-hand experience working with Smart city teams on various public infrastructure development projects.
